The National Center for the Biotechnology Workforce (NCBW) of Forsyth Tech and InnovATEBIO National Center for the Biotechnology Education announce the Biosciences Summer Industry Fellows Program Opportunity for Summer 2026.

The NCBW/InnovATEBIO Biosciences Industry Fellows Program is a program funded by the NSF ATE division where community college and/or high school or university instructors have an opportunity to work in industry or an institution for a 6–8-week period. Most Fellows start In June, but a May start is possible too.

This year we have a unique experience to announce. We are working with our NSF Regenerative Medicine Engine Ecosystem to place a limited number of summer Fellowships to work in the area, using the proven NCBW Bioscience Summer Industry Fellows Program Model.

This Fellows program will give the selected candidate a 6 - 8-week experience. This experience is quite unique for Faculty; it gives them an opportunity to understand the industry/institute environment and so better inform the students they prepare. The selected Fellow will be under the direction of the employer that they are matched with and will be paid a stipend, travel, and lodging expenses according to our policy at Forsyth Tech.

If you are interested in this unique opportunity, please email Russ Read  at  rread@forsythtech.edu stating why this Fellowship is important to your career growth and how you intend to use the experience in your classroom with your students.

Appplication deadline: January 15th, 2026.  Selections will be made in the January period. Matches happen early into the new year 2026.
