What is the New-to-ATE STEM Faculty Mentorship?
Up to 24, two-year college teams will be selected to join the 2020 technical assistance and mentoring support cohort!
STEM faculty teams receive mentoring, instruction, and resources to assist them in preparing a competitive proposal for submission to the National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education (NSF ATE) Program in October 2020. Faculty also engage in project management and leadership development. The goal of Mentor-Connect, supported by the NSF, is to develop or strengthen technician education programs in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
College teams selected for Mentor-Connect are expected to attend two, in-person workshops: The first in New Orleans, LA (February 5-7, 2020) and the second in Portland, OR (July 27-30, 2020). Travel support for project participants is provided.
