Program Description

Articulation and Transfer options: Alamance Community College students who are interested in completing their bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro are guaranteed university enrollment if they earn an associate’s degree and maintain a 2.00 GPA while at ACC.
Dual credit options: The Career and College Promise (CCP) program allows qualified high school juniors and seniors in North Carolina the opportunity to pursue college courses (tuition free) while in high school.
Facilities: A new three-story $19.4 million and 33,000-square-foot Biotechnology Center of Excellence building opened in2023. The center hosts a mix of labs and classroom space serving the biotechnology, medical laboratory technology and agricultural-biotechnology programs.
Free Tuition: Qualifying students are eligible for free tuition and other types of financial support under the Alamance Promise program.
Industry partnerships: ACC works directly with companies to help them develop products and give students an opportunity to work on real world industry projects for their final projects in the capstone course. Read about a successful project with Avgol!
New programs and courses: ACC has a new Diploma in Advanced Laboratory Techniques (Accelerated Evening Program). Courses will include bioprocess techniques, cell cultures, immunological technology and advanced molecular techniques.
