Program Description
Home to more than 700 life science companies, North Carolina currently ranks third in the nation for biotechnology. Students will learn the foundational skills needed for a career with a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing company. Skills in Biomanufacturing, Bioprocess Laboratory Technology and Biotechnology are taught.
Credential options: Students can earn a certificate or AAS in Bioprocess Manufacturing Technology. Students can also complete the BioWork certificate.
Work-based learning opportunities: Students have the opportunity to participate in registered apprenticeships.
Tuition help: Scholarships are available and free tuition can be obtained though several programs including high school or need-based programs like Next NC.
