Houston City College

The Biotechnology Program provides students with a solid foundation in the science and laboratory skills that drive modern medicine, healthcare research, and the biotechnology industry. Students progress through a structured curriculum, from introductory biology through advanced courses in molecular biology techniques, cell culture, laboratory instrumentation, biomanufacturing, and quality assurance. The program culminates in either an internship or a capstone experience, giving students the opportunity to apply their skills in a real-world setting before entering the workforce. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions such as Research Associate, Laboratory Technician, Manufacturing Technician, and Medical Technologist, or to continue their education in health and science-related fields.

   3. Associate of Applied Science
2. Medical Biotechnology:
   1. An Advanced Technical Certificate in Medical Biotechnology
