Merritt College offers a Certificate of Proficiency in Optical Microscopy, and Advanced Fluorescence Microscopy and Histotechnician Certificates of Achievement, as well as courses in genomics.

At HistoScope, we make histology slides and slide kits for the biotechnology/biology classroom. HistoScope offers Merritt histotechnology students an opportunity to experience real world histotechnician experience in a professional setting. HistoScope interns create high-quality H&E stained slides and perform quality control. Together, through sales and marketing, we work to promote and sell kits to the Bay Area Biosciences Education Community (BABEC). Profile Genomics is the advanced Production and Biotech Services arm of the Merritt Genomics Program. Profile Genomics is a cutting edge service provider for the biotechnology industry and research institutions. We are an ideal research partner with an expert staff and the flexibility to customize any project. We feature industry leading technology and a rapid turnaround. Profile Genomics currently offers Several types of DNA Shearing, AATI Fragment Analysis, Pippin Prep DNA size selection, Cryogenic Tissue Extraction, Microarray Slide Preparation and Scanning, and Robotic Colony Picking services.
