Program Description
The Biotechnology degree program provides students with the practical knowledge of bioprocessing and biomanufacturing including a core set of science and laboratory skills that enable them to be prepared for employment in the biotechnology industry.

Technician Careers will address the following objectives:
• Develop a training program to increase the number of biotechnology technicians,
• Coordinate industry-level training for biotechnology program faculty and develop and
implement a professional development curriculum for area science instructors.
• Develop and implement a biotechnology careers awareness and recruitment campaign.
