Program Description

State College of Florida offers an A. S. degree in biotechnology that trains technicians in basic laboratory techniques including the extraction and manipulation of DNA, RNA, and proteins. It also includes courses in cell culture, bioinformatics and bioethics. Starting in 2018, SFC is now offering a one-year Biotechnology Specialist Certificate. Graduates are prepared for jobs in research and production in industrial or academic settings.
