Students in the program learn a variety of skills including: DNA isolation, purification, quantitation, gel electrophoresis, spectrophotometry, southern blots, PCR, genetic cloning, cell culture and tissue culture, plant genetic engineering, protein isolation, purification, quantitation, western blots, expression analysis, and bioinformatics. Some of this work is reinforced in undergraduate research projects.
Tuition: SUNY offers free tuition to certain qualified New York State residents.
