A Medical Device Quality serves to familiarize students with the regulatory principles followed in medical device manufacturing, and allows students to obtain jobs in biomedical device manufacturing, product development and testing. A medical device is a product that can be used to diagnose a medical condition, a product used in therapy, or a product used in surgery. Examples of medical devices are artificial hearts, genetic tests, x-ray machines, blood sugar meters, home pregnancy tests, and tongue depressors.
