Biofuels Process Technology

A Biofuels Process Technology program prepares a student to begin a career in the field of bioenergy at facilities that convert biomass feedstocks into: fuel, biogas, electricity and heat, food/beverage products, soil amendments, and high value chemicals. Students can work in industrial settings managing the safe and effective operations of industrial plants.

Courses and topics may include:

  • Biorefinery Processes
  • Thermo-Chemical Conversion
  • Biomass Feedstock Management
  • Energy Systems Technology
  • Water Management
  • Agriculture
  • Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Biology

Certificate programs emphasize Bioenergy operations or Biomass Feedstock Management.

Short certificate programs can cover topics such as:  Biorefinery Processes, Biorefinery Operations, and Chemical Conversion.
