Biomedical Technology

A Biomedical Technology program prepares students for a career in the growing field of medical devices. Students gain a working knowledge of the design, manufacture, and regulation of medical devices such as home pregnancy tests, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and X-ray machines as well as diagnostic tests and novel adhesives for surgery and bandages. Positions in medical device companies in the design, manufacturing, regulation, repair, or sales of medical devices are starting points for this career.
