Event Date(s): Sunday, May 07, 2023 - 12:00am PDT to Wednesday, May 10, 2023 - 11:45pm PDT
The 2023 ABRF Annual Meeting, Driving Collaborative Science, May 7-10, 2023, in Boston, MA, will bring together scientific leaders to commemorate past, present, and future impacts of science on our lives as we band together to make a collective difference in this increasingly global society. The meeting will be on site and virtual.
Early bird registration is open until Jan 31, 2023. Poster abstracts are due Feb. 15, 2023. For more information visit ABRF's meeting site.
This year's meeting will feature community outreach on the last day (May 10). ABRF is inviting students and alumni from local area biotechnology programs to attend meeting sessions and visit the exhibit hall where they can connect with ABRF's many technology vendors and view posters. Additionally, Dr. Todd Smith, InnovATEBIO's ABRF liaison, is organizing a panel presentation in which alumni and (or) students from MassBay Community College, Quincy College, and Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute will present and converse on their educational and industrial experiences. Other activities are in the planning phase. If you are interested in attending please contact Todd Smith.
Last, ABRF has two poster tracks this year: Research and Information.
Research Posters. Posters that present research findings in key areas of value to ABRF’s research, scientific, technical, and administrative members. Research posters present a clear hypothesis or research question, outline methodologies, provide quantitative and qualitative results, and offer conclusions. Research posters will have priority for acceptance and display online and in the exhibit hall. These are well suited for undergraduate research experiences.
Information Posters. Posters that provide information regarding opportunities, approaches, services, capabilities, and other content that is of interest to the ABRF community but do not meet the criteria for a research poster. For example, information posters may highlight the work of academic core facilities, showcase advances by ABRF Corporate Partners, promote the efforts of ABRF Research Groups and Committees, and introduce community college biotechnology education.
Poster abstracts will clearly and concisely describe the poster content and value to the ABRF audience in < 300 words. As noted, abstracts are due Feb 15, 2023. Posters will be available online as well as in person.
