The 2023 ABRF Annual Meeting, Driving Collaborative Science, May 7-10, 2023, in Boston, MA, will bring together scientific leaders to commemorate past, present, and future impacts of science on our lives as we band together to make a collective difference in this increasingly global society. The meeting will be on site and virtual.

Wednesday, May 10 will feature a mix of panel discussions and networking opportunities for community college students to learn more about how to prepare for these career options. They will meet core professionals and be able ask questions about their work and day-to-day responsibilities. Participants will also have access to the ABRF Exhibit Hall, to see the instruments and systems used in core facilities and talk to the vendors about career options in building and supporting the instruments that are used in core facilities.

ABRF is inviting students and alumni from local area biotechnology programs to attend meeting sessions and visit the exhibit hall where they can connect with ABRF's many technology vendors and view posters. Additionally, Dr. Todd Smith, InnovATEBIO's ABRF liaison, is organizing a panel presentation in which alumni and (or) students from MassBay Community College, Quincy College, and Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute will present and discuss their educational and industrial experiences.

Registration for this special event is complimentary but required for all Community College participants. Register by April 30 with the access code COMCOL51023 to attend and learn how you can be a part of this exciting field of scientific research.

Instructions for registering with the discount code as an in person attendee

1. Choose "In Person" and fill in the info on the first page.

2. Complete the info on the second page and third pages.

3. Accept the terms and conditions on the fourth page.

4. Find and select Exhibit Hall ONLY (Wednesday, May 10)- Note: this is towards the bottom.

5. Choose "Wednesday."

6. You'll see a page where you can review your information.

7. Click next. You'll see the payment page. This is where you enter the discount code: COMCOL51023

8. Click Apply - the order should say $0

9. Click Submit.
