Join a close-knit community of ~350 educators who are redefining how we teach, connect and prepare students for the future of STEM. The 2026 ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators (ASMCUE) brings fresh energy, new programming formats and more opportunities to engage with peers who share your passion for teaching.
The Call for Proposals, Travel Award applications, and registration to the ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators Nov. 19 – 21, 2026 in Seattle, Washington are now open! Learn more and apply, https://asm.org/Events/ASM-Conference-for-Undergraduate-Educators/Home
If you teach at accredited U.S. institutions, consider applying for Travel Awards, which subsides registration and housing.
New this year: All microbrew proposals are eligible for the JMBE (Journal of Microbiology & Biology Education) Poster Recognition Program, which includes a cash prize and article fee waiver in JMBE!
New for 2026: Track-Based Programming + Microcredentials
Saturday’s program introduces curated tracks designed by the ASMCUE Planning Committee. Choose a single topic per session and dive deeper through a mix of formats, including expert-led plenaries, mini-workshops, short talks and roundtable discussions.
After completing a track, you’ll earn a microcredential—a meaningful way to showcase your expertise in areas shaping modern biology education.
Featured track topics include:
- Meeting the challenges of and opportunities for artificial intelligence
- Advancing STEM workforce development in biotechnology
- Publishing your education research with JMBE editors
- Leadership development for mid-career educators
- Designing high-impact practices for student success
ASMCUE is your place to elevate pedagogical expertise and foster connections. Seize the moment—Proposals and Travel Award applications are due July 15.
