International Barcode of Life (iBOL) Project through Coastal Marine Biolabs

This is a fantastic professional development opportunity offered through our collaborators at Coastal Marine Biolabs! This group, based in Ventura Harbor, California is engaging high school science teachers and students in the International Barcode of Life (iBOL) project, a landmark biodiversity genomics initiative. This is a great way to introduce cutting edge research into your classroom! They will be running their workshop this summer, July 17th-24th, in Northern California at the Bodega Marine Lab and offering a $1000 travel stipend for those who attend and complete the program! We will also be contributing to the program through our equipment loan program so that you will have a resource for the necessary equipment in the Northern California region.
