Freedom High School

Freedom High School offers Biotechnology; this course prepares students for careers involving laboratory sciences and the biotechnology industry. This class is a student driven lab based class, learning laboratory skills used in Biotechnology and Crime Scene Labs, including DNA manipulation and micropipeting, proper washing, sterilizing, plating and culturing techniques which make them effective lab technicians. Career paths and opportunities for further education will be explored through associations with industry mentors and field trips to local lab sites when available.
