In the Fall of 2019 ACC will have a new Diploma in Advanced Laboratory Techniques (Accelerated Evening Program). Courses will include bioprocess techniques, cell cultures, immunological technology and advanced molecular techniques.
Alamance Community College students who are interested in completing their bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro are guaranteed university enrollment if they earn an associate’s degree and maintain a 2.00 GPA while at ACC. ACC works directly with companies to help them develop products and give students an opportunity to work on real world industry projects for their final projects in the capstone course. A new three-story $19.4 million and 33,000-square-foot Biotechnology Center of Excellence building will open to students in spring 2023. The center will host a mix of labs and classroom space serving the biotechnology, medical laboratory technology and agricultural-biotechnology programs.
