Start your biotechnology career today! Santiago Canyon College's Biotechnology program will help.
The Biotechnology Program at Santiago Canyon College prepares students to enter the thriving Life Science industry in Orange County. Students can earn stackable certificates by taking sets of courses designed to prepare them for the middle-skill positions available in the region. After as few as three courses, students will earn the first level certificate and can utilize the regional job developer to help them obtain a position as an intern or apprentice. As students continue to take courses, they can earn additional certificates and the A.S. in Biotechnology. The A.S. degree prepares students to transfer into the Biomanufacturing B.S. programs at Mira Costa or Solano Community Colleges.
Industry Advisory Board
Santiago Canyon College has an industry advisory board that meets on a regular basis with 4 of the colleges in the Orange County biotech education collaborative. Members of the industry advisory board provide internships, employment, tours, and networking options. One company even offers merit-based scholarships to students earning certificates in biotechnology.
