Presenter: Vivian Ngan-Winward, PhD, CMQOE The in vitro diagnostics sector should be very familiar to the Bio-Link community with products such as test kits and analyzer instrumentation. Changing regulations now impacting this sector mean companies will need to adapt their quality systems and increase internal competencies. The salient regulatory changes will be presented and those where biotech educators may be able to work with companies to address will be highlighted. In addition, industry-critical career tracks alternative to the traditional research and manufacturing paths and how biotech educators can prepare students for these will be presented.
