In this workshop, participants will be introduced to experiments and techniques used in the upstream and downstream processes for monoclonal antibody production using NISTCHO cells. Two approaches will be taken; a low-tech approach for cell growth and mAb purification, and a high-tech approach using process-controlled bioreactors for cell growth and AKTA FPLC systems for protein purification. Biochemical QC techniques for determining purity, and titer will also be covered. Discussions and presentations will cover approaches to incorporating this material into courses and programs and examples ...
The Immune Epitope Database and Analysis Program (IEDB) is a freely available resource funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, to advance immunology research. It catalogs experimental data on antibody and T cell epitopes studied in humans, non-human primates, and other animal species in the context of infectious disease, allergy, autoimmunity and transplantation. The IEDB also hosts tools to assist in the prediction and analysis of epitopes. The IEDB team will be hosting one virtual user workshop over three days, approximately 4 hours a day. The workshop is free ...
