The Journal of Advanced Technological Education (J ATE) is embarking on a new pilot program: J ATE URE - to promote and advance technician training nationwide by building a community of peer-reviewed published authors from community and technical colleges.

J ATE Undergraduate Research Experience (J ATE URE) will bring together community college and technical education faculty-student teams to write and submit a publication based on their research, and create curricular materials that will support future students in doing the same. Teams will be supported with a stipend, training, monthly online meetings, and both peer and professional feedback and support of their publication preparation. Faculty and student involvement will be over 11 months (September 2023 - July 2024).

Each J ATE URE Team will be composed of:

One Faculty member who does undergraduate research with community college or technical education students plus 1-3 Community College student research team members who would like to write an article on their research for J ATE. Participants must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents and students must be currently enrolled in a community college in the US or a US territory.
