NOAA Scholarship Opportunity
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is the only U.S. federal organization dedicated to exploring the global ocean, filling critical gaps in the basic understanding of U.S. deep waters and seafloor. If you are an undergraduate interested in a two year scholarship and paid summer internship with NOAA, the application for the NOAA Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship and the Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions (EPP/MSI) is open from September 1, 2021 through January 31, 2022.
These scholarships provide students with an academic award of $9,500 per year for two years (junior and senior years) of full-time study. The Hollings Scholarship provides a 10-week, full-time, paid sunner internship opportunity at any NOAA facility nationwide. The EPP/MSI Undergraduate Scholarship offers two paid summer internships, one in a NOAA office in the Silver Spring metro area in Maryland, and the other at any NOAA facility nationwide. The scholars also receive funding to present their summer internship at two national scientific conferences.
