NSF Speakers Bureau
Well, I never knew this existed! What an amazing resource for any event or classroom!
The NSF Speakers Bureau is a volunteer group of scientists, engineers and other professionals who represent the National Science Foundation and are passionate about sharing information on the NSF's mission, programs and the exciting breakthroughs that have come from NSF-funded research. NSF speakers present to a wide range of audiences at civic, professional, educational and other public venues.
NSF values outreach and science communication, and our speakers seek to engage audiences, cultivate curiosity for basic research and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Requesting a speaker is really easy:
- Review the NSF Privacy Policy to understand how we use the information gathered to completed speakers requests. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Speakers Bureau.
- Complete the speaker request form, review the Guidelines, check that you have thoroughly reviewed them, and press the submit button. A Speakers Bureau representative will review your request and contact you.
- Please note all requests will take 6-8 weeks to process, so please plan your event as early as possible. If a response to your request for a speaker is not received within 60 days of your original request date, please contact the Speakers Bureau.
* Please note that submission does not guarantee a speaker; however, NSF will do its absolute best to locate an in-person or virtual speaker for the event. They will work with you to identify the topic and speaker that will best meet the needs of your audience. Flexibility in your topic and program date helps immensely in securing an NSF speaker. NSF Speakers can only reach locations in the United States.
