Johnston County, NC schools and companies partner with BioWork for Biotechnology Courses

Johnston Community College (JCC), Johnston County Public Schools, Novo Nordisk, and Grifols are teaming up to bring the BioWork certificate program to all of Johnston County's traditional public high schools. This pre-apprenticeship will allow juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn a BioWork certificate, which will count as one year of work experience in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility and will give them credit for two courses if they pursue an associate degree in Biotechnology at JCC.
