Eilene Lyons, Elizabeth Boedeker, Jeffrey Forrest, Jennifer Hill, Beth Elam, Nancy Linzy and Nancy Kruger collaborated on this study to look at ways of quantifying the economic impact of community college innovations such as contract service organizations and incubators on the community. This study was originally completed in 2013 and updated in 2015.
This article describes how St. Louis Community College and the BioBench CSO have played a vital role in the St. Louis metropolitan region’s technical and life science economic expansion and how its $127 Million positive economic impact has been measured and can be sustained.
