DARE (Data Analysis Research Experience) is an NSF-funded workshop will train faculty in best practices for quantitative reasoning instruction.  Attendees will return home and be able to serve as leaders on their home campus for a hands-on approach to quantitative reasoning skills. 

  • The workshop is designed to show faculty how to infuse data analysis into their course instruction and their training focuses largely on showcasing survey research activity that makes use of Google forms and spreadsheets.
  • Faculty is welcomed from a wide range of disciplines, such as sociology, psychology, history, education, health sciences, journalism, as well as more traditional STEM fields.
  • Attendees must come from a minority-serving institution (such as a MSI, HSI, HBCU)
  • Teams of at least two people must come from each institution.
  • There will be a stipend and breakfast and lunch provided.
