This is the first in a three part series on PCR.

- Elizabeth Dreskin, R&D Applications Manager, Bio-Rad Laboratories will provide an introduction to PCR and focus on ddPCR
- Joshua Steele, Microbiologist, Southern California Coastal Water Research Project will talk about using ddPCR in wastewater testing

About Our Speakers:
Dr. Liz Jordan Dreskin is an R&D Manager at Bio-Rad Laboratories who oversees the applications team for the life science group. Her team works with marketing to develop data and literature using any combination of tools including electrophoresis and western blotting, PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, NGS, electroporation, flow cytometry and protein purification. Liz joined Bio-Rad technical support after her post-doc at UCSF to assist customers in biochemistry and molecular biology - related techniques. She later moved into R&D where she has held various roles in validation of thermal cyclers and reagents, as well as applications.
Liz received her B.A. degree from Mount Holyoke College, and Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan.
