Recent trends have seen a rise in the use of monoclonal antibody therapeutics (Mabs) as the medical community strives towards a more personalized approach to treating diseases such as cancer and autoimmune disorders. This workshop for two or four-year college faculty will teach Mab production Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell culture in spin flasks and bioreactors, sampling and monitoring growth parameters including cell viability, optical density, glucose and lactate levels, as well as performing ELISA for active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) detection.
