The National Association of Biology Teachers 2018 Professional Development Conference represents and supports teachers, students, scientists, and allied professional organizations to enhance and improve biological literacy for all.
Come to the AC2 Bio-Link Regional Center Booth to meet and chat with representatives from Bio-Link and the AC2 Bio-Link Regional Center. We are also participating in two talks.
Visualize it: using molecular models to predict the effects of mutations on protein function
Dr. Sandra Porter will talk about using molecular models to see how point mutations (missense, nonsense, and frameshift) disrupt proteins and affect activity.

Bio-Link at 20: Building the Education Ecosystem to Help Instructors Help Students to Biotech-Careers
Representatives from Bio-Link, AC2 Bio-Link, and START Immunobiotechnology (Shoreline Community College) will be talking about new ideas in educating the biotechnology workforce! Bio-Link and AC2 Bio-Link Regional Center representatives will discuss resources for teaching including an interactive movie, curriculum, a teacher mentor network, biotech incubators, college-run service labs, undergraduate research, and immunobiotechnology. Join our session and learn how you can be involved!
