Event Description
Event Description
Part 2 in a 3 part series where InnovATEBio and Bio-Rad partner to bring together experts in the cutting-edge applications of PCR. Liz Dreskin will provide a deep dive into the technology, theory, and applications of qPCR and related techniques, such as reverse transcription qPCR. Evan Bursey will then describe what goes into the establishment of production and quality control test procedures for qPCR products, as well as the statistical principles involved in test development. Steven Okino will describe how his team designs and develops qPCR-based assays for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 variants, a monthly process that requires reviews of global databases, probe design, and coordination with manufacturing teams.
